Six Flags administrators announced Saturday that they will institute new safety measures, including seatbelts, for the Goliath coaster at the company's Georgia park, nearly two weeks after a rider was killed when he fell off the ride.
The change was announced in a public update released Friday by CEO John Reilly.
A deadly accident on Six Flags’ Goliath roller coaster is renewing attention on serious coaster incidents and safety concerns across the U.S.
The park had closed the coaster on Oct. 13 out of an abundance of caution following the death of a man on a similar Georgia coaster.
